Foodie [Concept]
Introduction
Tired of the cluttered and inefficient dining and restaurant apps on the market, I set out to create Foodie, a concept born out of personal frustration when I relocated to Berlin. With a background in the food industry as a barista and short-order cook, I was passionate about creating a better solution.
Problem Statement
In a market saturated with restaurant apps that overwhelm users with excessive information and clunky interfaces, Foodie's mission is to provide a streamlined, intuitive, and customisable platform. The goal is to enhance the restaurant discovery process while delivering a pleasant and user-friendly design.
Solution
Foodie simplifies the process of discovering the best restaurants and cafes, offering an intuitive, customizable interface. It bridges the gap between content-rich information and sleek design for an exceptional user experience.
Reflection
Designing Foodie was an enjoyable personal project that predated my entry into the field of Product Design. I enjoyed the challenge of creating a more intuitive and practical solution, driven by my personal experiences and a desire to make restaurant discovery simpler and more enjoyable for users.
